2026 HKPS Annual Conference
The HKPS 2026 Annual Conference, co-organized by THEi, concluded successfully on June 13. Themed "Psychology in Action: Shaping Youth Culture through Science and Creativity, " this signature event gathered leading academic, sports, and cross-disciplinary experts to explore the diverse applications of psychology through keynotes, symposia, and research poster presentations.
Grand Opening & Keynote Highlights
Dr. Ephraem Tsui (HKPS President) and Mr. Edmund Li (THEi Vice President) officiated the opening. The star-studded keynote featuring Hong Kong's First Wheelchair Badminton Athlete Mr. Chan Ho Yuen MH, Former Captain of Hong Kong Men's Volleyball Team Mr. Siu Cheong Hung, Renowned Sport and Performance Psychologist Ms. Lo Cheuk Hang, Karen, as well as HKPS Vice President and Registered Educational Psychologist Ms. Michelle LI, delivered an empowering message based on the philosophy that "there is no failure, only steps to success." The session deep-dived into how athletes transform sports resilience, goal-setting, and life planning into the ultimate power to navigate personal growth and career development for everyone.
9 Major Symposia Breakouts & "Meet the Psychologists" Interactive Booth
The breakout sessions beautifully demonstrated the diverse applications of psychology in youth culture and everyday life. This year's 9 Major Breakout Sessions tackled some of the most relevant and trending topics in society today. Additionally, the interactive "Meet the Psychologists" booth allowed professionals from our Clinical, Educational, Industrial-Organizational, and Counselling divisions to share career insights with students.
Poster Presentations, Awards Ceremony & Closing Remarks
To recognize and support our students' academic endeavors, a total cash prize pool of HKD 3,000 was awarded for the Poster Presentations. Following a rigorous live evaluation by our Council members, five exceptional winners were selected.

The conference concluded with closing remarks delivered by Dr. Lawrence Ma, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. Dr. Ma beautifully summarized the day's rich academic and cultural dialogues, while extending his heartfelt gratitude to all speakers, guests, and committee members.
