Event Details
In this seminar, Herman will share his research journey into the role of emotions in interpersonal relationships within organizations. He will draw on his published articles as illustrative examples to highlight the importance and impact of the topic. The seminar will be informal, interactive, and supportive, and is designed for I/O psychologists, academics, doctoral students, and practitioners.
About the Speaker

Herman Tse, is a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at Monash Business School, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, Brisbane. He is a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders in Australia and New Zealand, and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management.
Herman's research interests span relational approaches to leadership, emotions within teams, the well-being of leaders and employees, and human-robot collaboration. His work has been published in internationally renowned journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Harvard Business Review and Human Resource Management. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Organizational Behavior and has a strong track record of securing over HKD $3.5 million in research funding, including two National Natural Science Foundation projects in China.
Beyond academia, he has led impactful industry projects and corporate training programs on leadership effectiveness. He has also collaborated with government bodies and organizations to develop evidence-based frameworks and practical guidelines for human-robot collaborative workplaces and AI-driven digital transformation initiatives.
