Nine members and staff of HKPS attended a Greater Bay Area (GBA) mental health conference hosted by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals on August 27-28, 2025, in Shenzhen. Our President, Dr. Ephraem Tsui, was invited to attend the conference banquet for key leaders in the mental health fields within the GBA. HKPS Fellow Prof. Paul Wong presented his research on “hikikomori” or “hidden youth,” while HKPS Fellow Prof. Lam Shui Fong conducted an interactive workshop on “Mindfulness Culture in Schools.” The conference was the first of its kind and attracted over 500 participants, fostering closer collaboration among mental health professionals in the GBA. We are keen to join hands with other professionals to spread our positive impact beyond Hong Kong.
