Brief content: |
People with Autism Spectrum Disorder with the core symptoms of social communication difficulties and restrictive behaviors. They had been suffered from long term adjustment problems throughout their life from early childhood to adult. Individual psychotherapy plays an important role by providing them with the tools and strategies needed to overcome their struggle with adaptive to the environment such as school work and peer relation. How to maintain relationships, navigating complex social situations and coping with anxiety and stress. This workshop is to share the clinical experience of working with normal intellectual people with ASD. The course content covers the introduction of symptoms of individuals with ASD from preschool, primary school, junior high school, high school to university, and explores phased and/or long-term psychotherapy and medications intervention. Working with individuals and their environment such as family, school will be discussed. |
