Dear HKPS Members,

The Council of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS) is pleased to invite Mr Michael Chi-wai LAM, Honorary Legal Advisor of HKPS, to give a talk for HKPS members about the Privacy Policy of HKPS which concerns the personal data of every member as well as people coming into contact with HKPS. You are welcome to participate. Details as follow:

Mr LAM has been our Honorary Legal Advisor since 2023. He has expertise in advising and helping organizations on compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. As the talk may involve legal advice which is privileged, it will not be broadcasted or recorded for review outside the venue.

All members are, and will be, required to give written consent to the Privacy Policy Statement (PPS) of HKPS which has been published on our website since August 2024 https://hkps.org.hk/upload/faq/60/self/6646e4778996f.pdf, failure of which will result in rejection or termination of membership. Renewal of membership will require written consent to the PPS. Representatives of the Council will be present at the talk to answer questions about the mandatory requirement.
