The Continuing Education Committee approved the circulation of the below activity to all HKPS Members, to keep our members informed about relevant continuing education activities in the field.
For Certificate Courses – Please note that certificate courses are approved based on attendance only, this does not imply any endorsements of the certificate awarded.
CE Accreditation:
DCP: 1 CEU per hour and no more than 6 CEUs per day
DCoP: 6.5 CEUs per day will be awarded for the course
DEP: The workshop is approved with 10 CEUs

Dr. Maggie Poon. Dr Poon is currently in private practice. She is an experienced clinical psychologist and registered social worker. She obtained her Doctor in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from the University of Hong Kong. She is also a certified Intermediate Level Practitioner in Emotion-Focused Therapy (Individual Therapy). Dr. Poon had worked in a government agency for about 20 years. Apart from providing psychological assessment and treatment, she is a field supervisor for clinical psychologist-in-training for the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also conducts training for mental health professionals (e.g. psychologists, social workers, nurses, and medical doctors) on topics like counselling, positive psychology, trauma treatment and custody evaluation. She has published books and articles on positive psychology and psychological treatment for complex trauma patients. |
