The HKPS is proud to acknowledge the diversity of expertise that exists in Hong Kong among our own members as well as the chance to exchange with other international experts who are interested in Chinese psychology. This is reflected in the eminent line up of speakers who have generously agreed to share their expertise with us at the 2008 Conference. We hope this conference will not only help us to develop a richer understanding of health across different disciplines but will also allow us to collaborate with colleagues both in local and overseas.

Presentation of JP Leung Memorial Award 

J.P. Leung Memorial Award for Best Student Papers

 

In honor of the late Professor J. P. Leung, the Hong Kong Psychological Society will be making three awards in the amounts of $3,000, $1,500, and $500, for best student papers presented as either posters or presentations at the 2008 Annual Conference of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (14 June, 2008). To be eligible, students from any level (undergraduate, Master's, or PhD) must: a) present a poster (any area of psychology) in the general poster session of the conference, or a paper in one of the symposia; b) be enrolled in university psychology degree during the time of the conference; and c) be a registered participant at the conference. Awards will be made at the Closing Ceremony (3:30pm, 14 June 2008) Students wishing their poster/paper presentations to be considered for these awards must indicate so when submitting their proposal (abstract) no later than 7 April, and must also submit a 3-6 page summary of their poster/paper no later than 30 April.

Dear HKPS Members,

I am pleased to inform you that we are going to have a joint HKPS Annual Conference with the 6th Chinese Psychologist Conference (CPC), which is to be held on 11-14 June, 2008. This year we have the opportunity to broaden the intellectual exchange and chance to build network with colleagues from the psychological field in other regions. May I cordially invite you to joint the event by attending the full CPC Conference (11-14 June, 08) and the HKPS Annual Conference (14 June, 08). There are separate registrations for the two events to let us know your choice of just attending the HKPS Annual Conference or the full CPC Conference.
